Dentsply Sirona is announcing its latest upgrade for both Connect and CEREC Software, giving users new functionalities and even better performance. Patient communication is improved with a new visualization step in the model phase. The upgrade can also contribute an improvement for the benefit of Primescan users. New firmware makes the intraoral scanner twice as fast, provides a highperforming scanning experience and gives users access to new workflows and even better usability.

Dentsply Sirona today announced that the company has acquired Byte, a rapidly growing clear aligner company. Byte holds a leadership position in the direct-to-consumer clear aligner market.

Dentists now have the opportunity to use Primescan in a new area of application: Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and snoring, which affects up to 3.61 billion people worldwide and is a growing market. Dentsply Sirona has therefore signed an agreement to collaborate with Panthera Dental (Quebec, Canada) to offer a validated and fully digital workflow for custom-made sleep devices.

On June 23rd, 2020 the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico, in a ruling by Judge Joseph F. Bataillon, held that EdgeTaper Encore endodontic files sold by US Endodontics and Edge Endo infringe at least three valid claims of patents asserted by Dentsply Sirona Inc.
