Decision making is the dentist's daily challenge at the clinic. Patients visit the dental clinics for check-ups and esthetics, but they mainly come for pain management or discomfort. A proper diagnosis should be properly done to achieve patients' comfort and resolution of symptoms. In endodontics today, technology have undoubtedly reshaped the management of complex cases. Digital imaging, heat treated instruments, ultrasounds and operating microscopes are becoming essential tools for successful endodontics. Most of the time, endodontic complexities are related to anatomical difficult configurations or aberrations. Moreover, obstacles might be added making the root canal therapy even more challenging to achieve. Poor endodontic primary treatments leading to failure might also have added difficulties like missed anatomies, iatrogenic errors, metallic or carbon fiber obstructions. This is why taking the decision to retreat a previously done root canal treatment is not always an easy task for both patient and clinician. For all these reasons, a general practitioner and/or specialist should be familiar with the tools and treatments available today to better diagnose and try to secure a successful root canal therapy.
Speaker:
Many recent advances in endodontic armamentaria and protocols have simplified clinical endodontics for the better. By incorporating these, we can perform endodontics more efficiently and safely. This includes innovations in diagnosis, instrumentation (including calcified canals), intra-canal disinfection, obturation, and single-visit endodontics, amongst other aspects of endodontics.
This program will highlight numerous practical tips, tricks, and tools to help you consistently perform root canal treatments more predictably.

The purpose of the lecture is to make a critical appraisal of modern materials and procedures in anterior adhesive restorations, including dentin bonding agents, resin composites, color and esthetics principles, the step-by-step procedures for direct restorations. Many different aspects of multidisciplinary treatment planning will also be discussed. Adhesive technologies have contributed to change the way dentists conceive esthetic restorations. The silent revolution of dentin bonding agents has allowed practitioners to minimize their preparations: it is now possible to obtain an “invisible” restoration in terms of color, shape and surface texture. Due to the improvements of materials and techniques, dentists can restore esthetic appeal and function with a low biological and financial cost.
Patients are aware of the new technologies, and require treatments that are highly esthetic, minimally invasive, repairable and not too expensive. Resin composite restorations can fulfill all these requirements. However, the correct protocols must be implemented to achieve clinical success and to obtain invisible restorations.
Multidisciplinary treatment planning is most often the key to success: many patients need a combination of different treatments to solve their problems. It is extremely important to combine the skills of several specialists to establish the most constructive treatment plan to ensure the best possible result for the patient.

Modern restorative dentistry relies on proper adhesive protocols and a comprehensive understanding of the principles of biomimetic dentistry, along with the integration of the latest technologies such as CAD/CAM. This concept essentially revolves around restoring teeth using materials that share similar properties with the parts of the teeth that have been lost.
This approach is intended to preserve the intact tooth structure that remains while efficiently restoring the function and biomechanics of natural teeth.
Rubber dam isolation provides ideal conditions not only for optimizing the cavity but also for enhancing the precision of the scanning step

CAD/CAM technology was introduced a long time ago and since then it has been used in every specialty including dentistry. Since the introduction of CAD/CAM in the dental field in 1989, it has been improving on the hardware and software levels. Dentsply Sirona as a market leader in CAD/CAM technology, has set a benchmark to all CAD/CAM technology producers. The digital solution was a dream to dentists and dental laboratory professionals in the past, but now it has become an essential for everyday dental practice. The aim of this presentation is to explain the idea of CAD/CAM dentistry and you show you how to select the suitable CAD/CAM system for your practice, through an interactive digital session between Dental Practice & Dental Laboratory LIVE on stage.

Innovations in implant design have improved the outcome of our implant treatments. The introduction of the DS PrimeTaper Implant System is the latest step in the evolution and allows to place implants predictably in challenging indications. The restorative treatment with Primescan is faster and more accurate than ever before. But there are still some limitations. Accuracy and efficiency depend on many factors, which are sometimes out of the dentist’s control. This lecture will discuss the possibilities and indications of the DS PrimeTaper implant and digital workflow using Primescan within implant dentistry.

Scanning of dental implants is mostly straightforward and fast. But today's intra-oral scanners allow more to be captured than just the implant. During this demonstration, you will learn how to scan one or multiple implants, how to transfer information of the emergence profile to your lab, and how to register the bite in an edentulous arch.
Speaker:
Patients as well as dentists expect implant treatments to be simple and predictable. But quite often, lack of bone height requires additional measures in order to place implants. Advanced surgery to increase the bone volume is a drawback for many patients. Alternatively, the implants can be tilted to avoid critical structures and be completely surrounded by the residual bone. While the original all-on-four protocol held many prosthetic disadvantages, the SmartFix® concept has improved and simplified the treatment concept.
In this workshop, participants will be guided step-by-step through the surgical and prosthetic protocol of the SmartFix® concept.
