Orthodontic treatments require full-jaw scans. Here, Primescan impressively demonstrates its skills. The scan is significantly faster than conventional procedures (including alginate impressions) and less prone to error. Thereby it is of course powder-free and in natural colour. Orthodontic special tools such as model analysis and treatment simulation are available in the optional CEREC Ortho software.
2. Data transfer via Connect Case Centre
After checking the model on the screen, either transfer the data to the Dentsply Sirona SureSmile ® Digital Lab or to your external service provider. You can choose from a wide range of applications, including aligners, bonding trays, retainers and many others. You may as well process the data internally.

1. Data Capturing
See more with a CBCT image that visualises and gives information about the patient’s anatomical situation. With the intraoral scanners Primescan or Omnicam you can capture the patient’s dentition and surrounding soft tissues. The combination of bone and soft tissue data are the optimal basis for an ideal restorative and implant planning.
2. Restorative and Implant Planning
mySimplant planning service is the outsourced way to receive a plan of the implant surgery without the need to purchase a planning software. CBCT data, intraoral scan data and clinician’s case specifications are sent to Dentsply Sirona that prepares a Simplant treatment plan. When the planning proposal has been designed, it is sent back to the dentist for validation and approval.
3. Guided surgery
When the Simplant treatment plan has been approved, the Simplant Guide is produced by Dentsply Sirona using a state-of-the-art manufacturing process to ensure the highest precision and quality each and every time. Using a surgical guide ensures a precise implant placement and sets the path for safe and accurate treatment. Together with the surgery kit, guided surgery drills and the Simplant Guide, the implant can be placed according to the treatment plan.
5. Restorative design and manufacturing
The order is initiated by the dentist directly in Sirona Connect and sent to Dentsply Sirona central production for Atlantis solutions. A design proposal is sent to the dentist and dental technician to review, discuss and approve. Atlantis abutments, crowns or digital files are available for both cement- and screw-retained restorations. The crown can also be finalised using Atlantis Core File and inLab software.
6. Final restoration
Atlantis abutments and crowns are produced by Dentsply Sirona using a state-of-the-art milling process. The design of Atlantis patient-specific solutions is based on the anatomy and clinical situation of each patient, truly mimicking natural tooth function and appearance. The crown can also be milled using inLab milling machine and sintered using inLab proFire .
