Dental Hygienists often struggle with anything ambiguous. We are by nature purpose driven individuals wanting predictable results. This course will affirm that and offer 3 key elements to provide treatment that is based around obtaining predictable outcomes. While the RDH may not be the practice owner, consideration of owning the hygiene space will be discussed. Appropriate, evidence-based periodontal treatment planning, instrument condition/inventory, and effective instrumentation techniques will be presented as a trifecta plan to develop a hygiene department that offers a sense of predictability and control.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to:
- Utilize the updated AAP Classification for optimum patient treatment and effective communication.
- Discuss the why, when, and how to maintain quality instruments in your practice.
- Review anatomical challenges via 3D imaging to enhance root debridement and periodontal therapy for optimum clinical outcomes.
