For more than a decade, the Xive implant system has provided full restorative options for you and your patients. From the narrowest gap to a fully atrophied edentulous jaw, in hard or soft bone, from single-stage to two-stage protocols, from subgingival to transgingival healing, from immediate to delayed loading – with Xive, you decide which treatment concept is best for your patient.

Depending on the clinical situation of your patients, Xive offers a large variety of placement and restorative options.Whether you choose a subgingival or transgingival approach, Xive delivers the desired primary implant stability.

Thanks to an identical endosseous implant design you can make your placement choice during the actual surgical procedure, allowing you to solve even highly complex cases. Additionally, the restorative freedom of XiVE offers a practical solution for all your implant cases, while promoting various restorative treatments options.

This is what we call Implantology Unlimited.

Xive is supported by more than 25 years of dental implant industry experience, including pioneering work and groundbreaking developments in the fields of immediate implant loading and implant surface design.

Additionally, Xive is fully compatible with Frialit, offering a well-structured line of color-coded abutments that has been a standard in the industry since the 1990s.

The following are the key features of Xive:

ActiveBone Control

High primary stability in all types of bone can be achieved by the patented combination of bone-specific preparation protocol and bone-condensing thread design.

Friadent plus surface

Grit-blasted and high temperature-etched microstructure accelerates rapid bone formation on the implant surface; this results in early osseointegration and high bone-to-implant contact.

Bone care with platform-switch

Integrated platform switch option supports improved preservation of crestal bone levels with concurrent favorable soft tissue conditions.

Easy and versatile prosthetics

A range of prefabricated and patient-specific abutments provides versatility in prosthetics, both on implant and abutment level, including immediate restorations for any possible indication; internal butt-joint connection with self-guiding properties and color-coded or laser-marked components support error-free workflow.

Design philosophy

Xive is based on surgical and prosthetic site-specific requirements, according to your desired clinical approach for dental implant treatment. In support of this approach, Xive provides:

  • Excellent primary stability – atraumatic and gentle in dense bone, stable and secure in soft bone.
  • An internal hex connection interface with clear and accurate positioning of the abutment with six reversible positioning options.
  • A versatile range of implants including narrow, wide and transgingival options.
  • A sophisticated range of prosthetic treatment concepts supporting temporary, and cement-, screw- and attachment-retained restorations.

Xive stands for progressive and innovative solutions, surgical versatility, and almost unlimited prosthetic freedom – an implant system that always strives to be one step ahead, offering you and your patients a wide variety of solutions.

Surgical Flexibility

Xive helps you achieve safe and predictable results in all your patient cases. Xive offers implant widths and lengths to match the variations in jaw anatomy. The special thread design guarantees safe and atraumatic implant placement, even in the hardest cortical bone. And the cylindrical implant body optimizes the use of available bone volume, even in anatomically complex situations, making additional grafting procedures often unnecessary.

You can place Xive using either conventional or computer-guided treatment planning. Determining the appropriate treatment planning is based on a comprehensive consultation with your patient, to determine exactly what the patient wants and expects from the treatment, discover any possible contraindications, and to explain the treatment in detail to the patient.

Conventional treatment planning

Radiographic templates

A transparent template can be used to superimpose implant images upon radiographs to help you plan implant placement. Templates are implant-specific and provide different magnifications that correspond to the radiograph magnification.

Surgical template

A thermoformed splint with radiographic balls that can be accurately repositioned in the patient’s mouth. It can be subsequently modified to a conventionally fabricated surgical template. The pre-prosthetic planning is simplified with the Friadent Select components.

Simplant – Computer-guided treatment planning

Simplant dental planning software provides you with accurate and predictable surgery options. It will help you to assess your patients’ anatomy and its exact relationship to the proposed restoration. Treatment planning is easily communicated to your dental team, your dental laboratory, and the patient – everyone can see and understand what the treatment entails.
  • Safe three-dimensional planning in the sub-millimeter range and with reference to the desired restoration.
  • Automatic collision control, which displays too narrow clearances between implants or to the nerve.
  • Information on peri-implant bone quality for accurate conclusions on the expected primary stability.
