This procedure-based course will help clinicians grow into more advanced surgical and prosthetic concepts with the treatment of single-tooth anterior implants. This case offers insights into some of the typical esthetic and functional challenges associated with single-tooth implants and how proper treatment planning helps to overcome them. The patient presented missing tooth #9 and was successfully restored using a digital workflow and a delayed placement and delayed provisionalization approach.
Learning Objectives:
At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Assess primary stability and the factors that influence it
- Discuss considerations for healing abutment selection
- Understand a simple and predictable digital approach to single-tooth implant restorations
Following completion of Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 of this Level 3 curriculum focused on single-tooth implants in the anterior, participants are encouraged to continue their education in Level 4, focused on multi-unit segments.
