Chemically stable for a long-term, reliable sealing

This success was preceded by extensive product development, led by Prof. Joachim E. Klee in his former role in the R&D department at Dentsply Sirona. Klee describes the unique technology behind AH Plus^® as follows: “The material is based on linear epoxy-amine addition polymers. These ensure a certain degree of flexibility combined with material strength. In addition, it has high adhesion to dentin and gutta-percha (2), extremely low solubility and outstanding dimensional stability (3). This enables long-term, reliable sealing.”

Studies provide clinical evidence

Over the years, AH Plus^® endodontic sealer has become a “Gold Standard” in obturation in the scientific literature thanks to its properties. This is supported by an extensive study evaluation in the scientific manual published by Dentsply Sirona to celebrate the 30th anniversary of AH Plus^®. The selected and peer-reviewed clinical studies were published between 2007 and 2024 and cover a total of 3,407 patients and 3,735 treated teeth. One of the key findings: High treatment success rates were observed with the use of AH Plus^® regardless of the obturation technique (including single cone obturation) and type of treatment (primary or secondary).
