Dentsply Sirona introduces the Midwest® Energo™ portfolio of electric handpieces in Canada

Part of the Midwest brand of handpieces, the Energo electrics are designed with durability, ergonomics, and noise reduction in mind. The portfolio comprises standard, short, and mini-head handpieces to suit dentists’ needs and preferences. The Midwest Energo US launch was announced during Dentsply Sirona World 2023 in Las Vegas and will be introduced in Canada this September .

Charlotte, N.C. The new Midwest Energo portfolio of electric handpieces offers a range of benefits for dental professionals, with small head dimensions, long durability, and high level of safety¹. The new handpieces will be available in Canada from September 2024.

Quality that feels like day one

The Midwest Energo portfolio comprises the premium T1 Energo electric handpieces (with a standard and short version) and the comfort T2 Energo (with a standard version and a mini-head option). The small head size of the handpiece provides a very good view during the treatment. Both the T1 and T2 handpieces are equipped with “safe head technology”, which offers the coolest² heads on the market and thus increases patient safety¹. They are also very easy to reprocess and incredibly quiet thanks to the patented³ 4x2 nozzle spray. In addition, the lifetime has increased many times in comparison to the current models¹.

Environmentally friendly design

In line with Dentsply Sirona’s sustainability program, “BEYOND: Taking Action for a Brighter World,” the company strives to reduce the environmental impact of its products through design. The Midwest Energo handpieces are designed to reduce carbon emissions across the whole lifecycle of the product. The instructions for use are available in a convenient digital format, reducing the need for printed materials and reducing transport weight. Also, the product is delivered in a new sustainably produced packaging. These measures have reduced the carbon footprint of the Energo portfolio by 25% compared to previous models.
