Day 1:
As a hub for the digital office, 3D CBCT technology provides the basis for many of our digital and clinical workflows. This course highlights the key features of CBCT technology.
Course Objectives:
• Understand radiology principles and ALARA.
• Obtain radiology reports and know 3D CBCT screening principles.
• Integrate the technology into their clinic and into their workflows.
• Understand the software and CBCT concepts.
Day 2: (Optional)
Using a digital workflow involving CBCT and digital impression scans to make implant planning and placement a routine procedure at the office. Hands-on will involve the use of a milled surgical guide to place a planned implant. Hands-on components will provide experience with guided surgical protocols, implant placement, and socket preservation.
Learning Objectives:
• Learn the key digital markers on a CBCT for successful implant planning.
• Understand the fundamentals of implant selection and digital planning.
• Learn the fundamentals of implant placement based on bone quantity and quality.
• Discuss immediate implant placement as a treatment option.
• Learn Socket Preservation techniques including hands-on with regenerative bone products.
• Learn solutions for more difficult cases and alternative workflows for guides.
Hands-on Component:
• Design of implant within Implant Software
• Design of Milled Surgical Guide
• Hands-on with the Guided Surgery Implant System
• Guided placement of an implant into an anatomically accurate 3D model.
• Hands-on socket preservation with regenerative bone products
