Crowns & Bridges in theDigital Workflow
Please define textCrowns and Bridges are the most frequent restoration types within the fixed prosthetic segment. They can be made of various materials, e.g. dental alloys and all-ceramic materials.
In the field of all-ceramics, zirconium oxide is a leading material. It is an all ceramic (metal free) material and offers excellent properties for dental use: Superior toughness, strength, and fatigue resistance, in addition to wear properties and biocompatibility. Dentsply Sirona was a pioneer in this field with over 20 years experience. Zirconia became popular with introduction as pre-sintered material (Cercon) for efficient and economic production in CAD/ CAM processes. It covers a wide range of indications from single crowns up to 14-unit bridges.
