ProTaper Gold file’s visibly advanced metallurgy creates a difference you can see – and feel. That’s because ProTaper Gold rotary files feature the identical geometries as ProTaper Universal but offer an increase in flexibility. This is especially important in the finishing files, when navigating challenging curves in the apical region.

Improved cross-section

The convex triangular cross-section enhances cutting action while decreasing rotational friction between the blade of the file and dentin.¹

Non-cutting tip design

Allows each instrument to safely follow the secured portion of the canal while the small flat area on the tip enhances its ability to find its way through soft tissue and debris.²

ProTaper Gold rotary files feature the same exact geometries as ProTaper Universal, but offer an increase in flexibility.

  • ProTaper Gold provides more than twice the resistance to cyclic fatigue as ProTaper Universal.
  • ProTaper Gold’s shorter handle allows improved accessibility to teeth.
  • ProTaper Gold’s proprietary processing allows it to follow canal curvature

ProTaper Gold obturation & accessories

Absorbent Points

  • Sterilized
  • Five sizes to fit all ProTaper Universal & ProTaper Gold prepared canals
  • Color-coded to ProTaper files for easy recognition and convenience
  • Sold in pack of 180 points (5 per sterile cell)

Gutta-Percha Points

  • New micronized formula delivers warm gutta-percha 4.5mm beyond the heat source at temperatures of 105-180
  • Cones match the variable tapered design of ProTaper Gold and predictably fits the shaped root canal

Obturators

  • Color-coded and precision matched to fit the shapes created by the ProTaper Gold files
  • Flexibility allows for filling of even the most challenging anatomy
  • Single insertion simplicity is more effective than lateral condensation
  • Less technique-sensitive than warm vertical compaction procedures
  • Available in sizes of F1–F5, 6 or 30 pack

Size Verifiers

  • Shape verifiers that ensure a passive fit of the obturator in the canal
  • Designed with a flute, which also makes them excellent for minor apical shaping
  • Made of nickel titanium, they can be heat sterilized for reuse
  • Are a .045 taper in design and ensure that the obturator core and surrounding flowable gutta-percha will have sufficient space to reach working length
  • Sold in pack of 6

ThermaPrep 2 Obturator Oven

The ThermaPrep 2 obturator oven heats GuttaCore for WaveOne Gold obturators to help ensure proper flowability of the warm gutta-percha and ultimately a more complete fill.
