How to

Step 1: Start

Insert the Disposable Prophy Angle (DPA) onto the handpiece. If using a Nupro Revolv Disposable Prophy Angle, make sure the notch on the base of the DPA lines up with the guide pin on the handpiece. If needed, tighten the retention mechanism on the handpiece to hold the DPA firmly in place.

Step 2: Polish

Operate at a low handpiece setting of 1,500 - 3,000 RPM.

Step 3: Finish

Dispose of the DPA after each patient according to CDC Guidelines for Infectious Waste and Federal, State and Local regulations.

Nupro Disposable Prophy Angles are single-use to prevent cross-contamination. After each procedure:

  1. Dispose of the used prophy angle following local regulations for medical waste.
  2. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for use on how to properly clean, disinfect and sterilize your polishing handpiece after each patient.
