The versatile design assistant

The inLab CAD SW Basis Module covers the basic indications and provides all required design tools as well as access to digital impressions via Connect Case Center. In addition, inLab users benefit from unique features and applications, such as the jaw-oriented biogeneric reconstruction method.

Jaw Orientated Biogeneric Setting

The unique jaw-oriented biogeneric procedure that reconstructs teeth faithfully. The inLab CAD software includes the positions and morphologies of the existing teeth in its analysis and generates initial patient-specific, fully contoured proposals — for single anterior or posterior teeth as well as for extended bridges and multiple restorations. This saves valuable time by eliminating the need for elaborate design adjustments.

Simultaneous design of several restoration levels incomplex cases.

Virtual articulator

Visualization of the complete paths of movement to determine the static and dynamic contact surfaces for correct functional occlusion.

Gingiva design

Separate design element for producing restorations with a gingival component

Third premolar

Aesthetically pleasing restorations even in narrowly confined spaces are supported by the possible flexible replacement of a tooth form with another. The Third Premolar function can be used in both classical and directly screw-retained implant bridge designs.

Smile Design

To simulate the harmonious effect of the design proposal and balancing the smile lines using a 3D patient image.

Tooth color display

For digital impressions that were transferred via Connect Case Center, the inLab SW displays the color information.

Multilayer gingiva bridges

The anatomical bridge is split into a framework with gingiva element and a veneering structure with connected or separate elements. Both parts can be produced from different materials.

Real 1:1 copy mode

Offers a new way for copying large cases and saves design time. Any geometry can be copied. Especially beneficial for large bridges or implant cases with gingiva.

Lab to Lab Workflow

Now it is also possible for a lab to send a case to another lab using the Connect Case Center. This reinforces the digital network between labs.


inLab Model (App)

New with inLab CAD SW 18.0, the lab can create models from digital impression data either with removable or non-removable dies.
It is possible to design both classic full-arch models and models with implant analog*. The design tools can be used to create a separate gingiva mask for each type of model. 
* Requires Implantology module

To create dies, existing preparation margins can either be transferred from the inLab software or entered manually in the app (e.g. for removable adjacent teeth.) The fit for removable and non-removable dies can be individually adjusted.

For implant models, the selected digital implant analog is automatically calculated into the model and visualized in the software.

Support pins for various articulators as well as bars can be added to the model and then edited.**

To finalize the model, it is possible to create an individual model labeling. The finished Model data can be exported for production with, for example, an in-house 3D printer or by central production.
