Simplifying Posterior Composites: From Prep to Polish” is a hands-on, technique-focused course designed to give dentists and dental therapists the practical skills and confidence to deliver high-quality, predictable posterior composite restorations without the stress.

Whether you’re newly qualified or looking to sharpen your everyday restorative workflow, this course will walk you step-by-step through the process of managing Class I & II cavities with clarity and control. From the fundamentals of cavity prep to mastering contact points, and from bulk-fill workflows to the final polish every stage is broken down with real-world, time-saving tips you can use straight away in practice.

The emphasis throughout the day is on doing, not just listening. You’ll work on a series of carefully designed exercises that reflect what you actually see in clinic, including:

- Matrix mastery:  Get hands-on with sectional matrix systems to create tight, anatomical contacts.

- Bulk-fill and layering:  Practice simplified techniques that reduce stress and save chair time.

- Finishing and polishing:  Ian will demonstrate through videos and a live demonstration a simple technique to create highly polished restorations in minutes.

Alongside the hands-on elements, short, focused lectures will set the clinical context, bust common myths, and explain why certain techniques work better than others, backed by the latest materials science and clinical research.

By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a clear, simplified system for approaching posterior composites in your practice plus the confidence to tackle even the most awkward Class II cases with less stress and more success.

*Fee increases to £325.00 after Sunday, June 1, 2025
