Regardless of the selected workflow or material for the restorative process, the final steps for try-in, chairside adjustments, and cementation are critical for a long-lasting restoration.
This course will use a case-based approach to cover armamentarium needs for ceramic adjustments, properly managing the inner and outer surfaces of the restoration, and the selection of the optimum cementation material and technique. Final finishing and post-operative care will also be featured in this course.
Learning Objectives:
Identify different isolation techniques
Plan how to make interproximal and occlusal adjustments to the final restoration without damage
Apply the principles of final polishing of the outer surface of the restoration
List the key steps in preparing the inner restoration surface, based on the material selected, the clinical situation, and what dental cementation protocol is selected
Select the best materials and techniques for placing the restoration and cementation/luting
Identify the most common post-operative adverse events and describe how to manage them
