Atlantis patient-specific abutments

Screw-retained Atlantis CustomBase solution

The crown is cemented extra-orally to the Atlantis abutment and is secured to the endosseous implant with the abutment screw inserted via the screw access channel to work as a single-tooth screw-retained restoration.

  • Angulated screw access allows the screwdriver access channel to be angled up to 30 degrees off the implant axis.
Cement-retained Atlantis abutment

Available in titanium, gold-shaded titanium and zirconia, the Atlantis Abutment is intended for use with an endosseous implant to support a cement-retained crown or bridge.

  • For single tooth restorations the abutment may be ordered with an Atlantis Crown made of Zirconia and Atlantis Temporary Crown made of PMMA.
  • For multi-unit cases the abutment may be ordered for splinted restorations.
Friction-retained Atlantis Conus concept

An innovative friction-retained, conometric solution providing edentulous patients with comfort, ease of use and function.

  • Available in titanium the splinted abutments are designed to fit SynCone 5° caps.
  • Delivered with an Atlantis Insertion Guide for efficient insertion.

Atlantis Abutment Milling Service

Step 1: Design

The dental laboratory receives the scan and designs the patient-specific abutment in 3Shape Dental System™.

Step 2: Submit

The abutment design is sent directly from 3Shape® to DS Core.

Step 3: Order

The dental laboratory places the order via DS Core. 

Step 4: Manufacture

Atlantis mills the abutment in one of its world-class facilities and ships the order - typically within two business days.

Step 5: Receive

The dental laboratory receives the physical abutment (no digital files).

Step 6: Restore

The crown is manufactured locally in the laboratory using the preferred material. 

Step 7: Assemble

The abutment and crown are assembled, completing the restoration.

Featured case study

Screw-retained restoration of upper first premolar supported by the DS OmniTaper Implant System

In this area two OmniTaper EV implants were placed to be restored with patient-specific screw retained solution. The position of the implants has been digitalized using the Primescan and Atlantis IO FLO to be able to order the abutments. 

This efficient workflow allowed for the smooth ordering of two Atlantis CustomBase® with Zirconia crowns. These crowns are cemented extra-orally as they contain a screw access hole. Doing so provides a simplified installation process with an esthetical outcome.
