How to: DAC Universal infection control workflow

Internal cleaning with cold water

1. Preliminary cleaning

2. Leak test

3. Internal cleaning: The internal spray and drive channels are rinsed with water

Fully automated lubrication*

4. Lubrication: The drive channels are lubricated (sufficient for the next treatment)

*this step is only applicable to the blue lid

External cleaning with cold water

5. External cleaning: Pulse wash procedure (multi-cyclical cleaning method)

Disinfection

6. Heating up to 134°C

7. Back-flush: Saturated steam is directed through the instruments

8. Disinfection: 0.5 min. at 134°C

Cooling

9. Cooling

10. The lid opens slightly

11. The lid can now be opened fully

No, DAC Universal requires no cleaning or disinfection chemicals. Water consumption is up to 800 ml per cycle, keeping operating costs low.

The Blue Lid program includes internal and external cleaning, lubrication, and disinfection. The Green Lid programme follows the same process but without the lubrication step.

Up to six instruments can be reprocessed in a single cycle, including cooling, in approximately 15 minutes.
