The concept of the practice Zähne im Zentrum combines organic elements and linear design. Stone, wood and shades of blue reminiscent of cool water. With a symbiosis of natural accents and professional technology, the Zähne im Zentrum practice in Münster's city center opens up a new perspective on the robust charm of a former factory building.

Organic Design Objects Create a Vivid Atmosphere

The waiting room glows in the colors of aquamarine, blue and turquoise. Many decorative elements that run through the room in the carpet and furniture are reminiscent of cool water. Arrangements of branches and grasses and organic-looking design objects act as natural accents. An intelligent lighting concept shapes the mood of the rooms and opens up new perspectives. Vertical columns of light accentuate the monochrome white of the corridor walls in the form of fluorescent tubes that interrupt the depth of the rooms with new visual axes. Likewise, the soft, natural amber hue of a retro designer lamp in the waiting area creates a relaxing, calm atmosphere.

In the treatment rooms, the natural stone slabs on the worktops and the warm brown of the wooden floor create a link to the natural look of the waiting area – otherwise, deliberate minimalism reigns, with smooth surfaces and pure white. In Dr. Breuer's experience, “The professional equipment inspires confidence. We were attracted by the clean design of the Sinius treatment center, as it fits perfectly into the overall picture.”

Patients, according to the dentists' experience, also perceive the holistic concept of professional treatment and the ambience with attention to detail. “This applies to the design and furnishings as well as to the technology and equipment. Our patients know that we offer high-quality treatment and use good materials. That's why they feel they are in good hands,” says Dr. Breuer. In times of COVID-19, the practice ensures that patients feel they are in very good hands from the first step into the premises through hygiene measures, professional sterilization and good quality management.

What is your recipe for success?

Dr. Repges & Dr. Breuer: It starts with the human factor: With a smile at the reception desk, with a team that is happy to be there for the patients. We provide comprehensive care for patients – with a broad-based team and range of services. Implantology and prosthetics are just as much a part of this as general services such as periodontology and prophylaxis. We are a total of 21 employees, including three dentists and a dental hygienist. Seven treatment rooms are available, and three more are to be added in the future. It is also important to us to have generous consultation times and appointments, some of which start at 7:30 a.m. and end at 8:30 p.m.

To what extent do you pay attention to sustainability in your day-to-day work?

Sustainability is very important to us. It starts with seemingly small things. For example, instead of buying beverage bottles, we use a special faucet to make sparkling water. And we rely on green energy. But digital dentistry also contributes: silicone and adhesive mass, for example, are no longer needed.

What role do digitized processes play in your practice?

For us, digital dentistry means that we can do everything ourselves and have an influence on quality throughout the entire workflow. Particularly in the case of difficult implantology work, this offers a high level of safety, as all the details can be planned. With the CEREC process, patients receive ceramic restorations in just one day.
