Access sets the tone for all of the following steps in root canal therapy. Dr. Reid Pullen, a board-certified endodontist, discusses some of the nuances associated with performing excellent access on anterior teeth.
An overview of the tools needed will provide guidance on which instruments can become your go-to burs in nearly every situation that presents. Dr. Pullen will also show you his favorite techniques for obtaining profound anesthesia prior to access. He’ll also offer several tips and tricks associated with rubber dam placement.
Learning Objectives:
- Discuss basic techniques for isolation of anterior teeth prior to root canal therapy using an appropriate rubber dam and clamp.
- Identify several of the most common canal types for anterior teeth.
- Identify the most common errors associated with access in anterior teeth and discuss ways to avoid these situations.
