CAD/CAM technology has finally made its way to complete dentures, and has the potential to improve the clinical experience for clinicians, technicians and patients. Digital denture workflows are versatile, with the ability to digitize any step (or maintain any conventional steps). Understanding how and when to incorporate digital steps allows clinicians and laboratory technicians to customize workflows that work for them. This presentation will break down the steps of the digital denture workflow - from start to finish. Fundamentals of concepts, materials, and procedures will be described to allow you to incorporate digital dentures into your own practice right away.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
- Fabricate immediate and conventional digital dentures for patients.
- Communicate and partner with dental laboratories to achieve predictable results.
- Understand current options for denture materials.
- Combine digital and conventional steps to customize denture workflows.
This course is presented as an interactive learning module. Course content is adapted from DS Study Club Season 1 Episode 16. If you are new to digital dentures, it is recommended to complete the course Let's Get Digital: An Introduction to Digital Dentures prior to beginning this course.
