Nupro 5% Sodium Fluoride White Varnish - High levels of Fluoride Release in 2 Hours*

FAQs

5% Sodium Fluoride Varnish is applied to tooth surfaces for sealing dentinal tubules and for the treatment of hypersensitive teeth. Applied with a soft brush in a thin layer, fluoride varnish provides a highly concentrated, temporary dose of fluoride to the tooth surface. Most fluoride varnishes are lacquers containing 5% fluoride in a colophony/rosin base. Nupro 5% Sodium Fluoride White Varnish is formulated with a hydrogenated rosin and urethane resin base.

Nupro White Varnish is applied by a health care professional. Varnish is applied in a thin layer over the tooth with an applicator brush, and moisture from saliva cures the varnish for adhesion to the tooth surface. The varnish is applied directly to the teeth without drying the teeth with gauze or air. Using a soft brush, the varnish is painted onto the front and back, top and bottom of the teeth. Nupro White varnish dries quickly, forming a smooth layer over the tooth.

Nupro White Varnish is white to make it easier to see during application, but it sets to a clear finish.

Nupro White Varnish is easy to apply, in most cases taking only a minute or two to complete the application. It is uniquely formulated to minimize clumping and it has also been developed so the formula doesn’t drip or string. This varnish is easy to apply, reaching hard to access interproximal areas and spreading easily on teeth to leave a uniform layer. The required wear time for Nupro White Varnish is 2 hours, so patients can quickly resume normal eating and drinking habits.
