In this final webinar in the series, the unique benefits of curved ultrasonic instruments in anterior sextants will be addressed. The previously addressed concepts of curved inserts in furcations and posterior sextants will be built upon as full mouth sequencing of these periodontal gems will be the focus. Suggestions for client operator positioning are also highlighted.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain adaptation approaches for accessing subgingival and supragingival deposit access in anterior teeth.
  • Discuss how to best combine anterior and posterior use of curved ultrasonic instruments for a full mouth debridement approach.
  • Describe patient-operator positioning options when combining ultrasonics with high volume evacuation.

Note: This course is part 3 in a 3 part series. It is strongly recommended that participants complete Shape Matters: Curved Inserts for Perio Part 1: Furcation Tutorial and Shape Matters: Curved Inserts for Perio - Part 2: Posterior Sextant Debridement before completing part 3.
