Dentsply

This procedure-based course will illustrate the basic surgical and prosthetic concepts of implant therapy through the presentation of a single-tooth posterior implant case. This case demonstrates the replacement of missing tooth #19, which was lost due to root fracture. We will discuss the role of comprehensive treatment planning and the predictability that guided surgery brings.

Learning Objectives

  • Recognize a streamlined digital implant workflow for single-tooth replacements
  • Understand the importance of surgical guides for correct positioning
  • Identify the advantages of custom healing abutments and how they relate to the final restoration

Following completion of Part 1 and Part 2 of this Level 2 curriculum focused on single-tooth implants in the posterior, participants are encouraged to continue their education in Level 3, focused on the single-tooth implant in the anterior zone.
This course is presented as an interactive learning module.
