It delivers the same efficiency and variable taper performance clinicians can continue to count on with ProTaper Universal, but with added refinements to improve performance. ProTaper Next’s M-Wire NiTi alloy design features an off-centered, rectangular cross-section for increased file strength, flexibility, and resistance to cyclic fatigue. The patented design’s axis of rotation differs from the center of mass. As a result, only two points of the rectangular cross-section touch the canal wall at a time. The matching obturators, gutta-percha points, and absorbent paper points were specifically designed for those clinicians who utilize the ProTaper Next shaping method.
