A bright idea for your next restoration

Dazzling or durable? CEREC Cercon 4D™ Multidimensional Zirconia Block delivers both— with a revolutionary layering and shading technology that creates the depth and translucency nature intended. And thanks to reduced wall thickness—as thin as 0.5mm1— enjoy more treatment flexibility in areas with limited space. The only thing brighter? Your patient’s smile.

Why dentists choose CEREC Cercon 4D

Allows down to 0.5mm wall thickness3

due to >1,100 MPa dentin core strength. This enables a minimum wall thickness down to 0.5mm for increased flexibility when space is limited, especially in two-piece abutment structures.

A closer look at the 4D difference

Traditional multi-layer zirconia blocks are built from several two-dimensional layers. Our highly esthetic CAD/CAM zirconia, however, is constructed to mimic the unique balance of dentin and enamel contours in a three-dimensional way, inspired by the natural tooth.

Simplified esthetics

CEREC Cercon 4D is the first high-esthetic CAD/ CAM zirconia block, with proprietary 3D natural shade and translucent technology. The result is a multidimensional layered look that mimics the natural contours of real dentin and enamel.

Applicable to all CEREC restorations

CEREC Cercon 4D works with every CEREC application (veneer, inlay, onlay, crown, bridge, single-unit implant restoration, Abutments / abutment crowns).*

Less stress in the prep step.

Dentists say that tooth preparation phase of restoration is the most likely to come with issues and additional time due to anatomical and case-specific factors.3 The low minimum wall thickness of the CEREC Cercon 4D reduces this risk by delivering more design freedom in space-constrained restorations.

Strong. Beautiful. Versatile.

CEREC Cercon 4D Abutment Block is the world’s first highly esthetic CAD/CAM zirconia block for TiBase hybrid implant restorations, constructed to mimic a natural tooth.

Strength, esthetics, and freedom—redefined chairside

Lower minimum wall thickness

Thanks to the 1.100 MPa strength2 of CEREC Cercon 4D, dentists can achieve a minimum wall thickness of 0.5 mm on all crown surfaces and 0.6 mm on all bridge surfaces—significantly thinner than competitive blocks.4 Not since gold has any crown material enabled such thin walls—and so much preservation of the tooth structure.

This not only enables better clinical outcomes, it gives dentists more design freedom and reduces the risk of time-consuming re-preps.

Robust workflow

In collaboration with CEREC software, the CEREC Cercon 4D block saves valuable time during programming and manufacturing thanks to an automatic preset option. Experienced users have the flexibility to make manual adjustments.

The fourth dimension comes to light when the structure emerges from the efficient milling process. This makes the CEREC Cercon 4D abutment block a true “4D” experience.

CEREC Cercon 4D is the universal zirconia solution for most clinical situations and experience levels

Easy positioning in the CEREC software enables simple, efficient manufacturing for all restoration types: crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, and multi-unit bridges.

Natural beauty

Three-dimensional natural shading and.translucency supports a very high level of esthetics for both posterior and anterior restorations. In addition, all available shades are optimized for polishing.

Frequently asked questions

The standard Cercon 4D block is used for crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and veneers. The abutment block is specifically designed for hybrid abutments and abutment crowns, with optimized masking of the TiBase.

Yes. Cercon 4D delivers high esthetics with multidimensional shading and strength over 1,100 MPa—making it suitable for both anterior and posterior applications.

Cercon 4D allows for wall thicknesses as low as 0.5 mm on crowns and 0.6 mm on bridges, enabling minimally invasive preps and greater design freedom.

To use the CEREC Cercon 4D Abutment Block, you need CEREC Software version 5.2.7 or higher for full functionality and integration.

The standard block can be sintered in under 14 minutes with CEREC SpeedFire, while the abutment crown requires approximately 36 minutes.
