Digital dentures with inLab SW - An option for any preference

Modern Labs have high expectations on a digital denture workflow: It should be time saving, secure and economical.

The inLab Software offers coordinated process steps combined with a high level of user comfort. From the accurate capture of a bite registration with the inEos X5 extraoral scanner, to an automated and careful model analysis, to the initial proposal of a possible tooth set-up and the design of the denture base. The laboratory also remains flexible in the subsequent production options.

Digital Mill Denture Workflow

Step 1: Scan with inEos X5

inEos X5

Reliable, shake-free scanning in just one step

inEos X5 offers enhanced user guidance to make even the most complex digitization task user friendly and intuitive – for both new and experienced users.

Particularly in the case of digital dentures, the scanner is ideally suited for the accurate capture of all relevant information from functional impressions and bite registration.

The new scan phase has a clear user interface, new step menu and offers an interactive help. The scan holder positions the bite register for reliable, shake-free scanning in just one step.

Step 2: Design with inLab CAD Software

inLab CAD Software

Digitized denture teeth from a tooth library or individual tooth set-up

The inLab CAD Software basically offers the laboratory two options for a digitally milled tooth set-up: the use of digitized denture teeth from a tooth library or individual tooth set-up. Both are based on the unique biogeneric method, which the software uses to adapt the occlusion teeth to the given jaw situation.

The digital process has many advantages, for example defining different parameter settings for the consistent protection of minimum wall thicknesses, pocket sizes, etc.

Regardless of the selected tooth setup, the denture base is then calculated according to the tooth setup and the ridge. The gingiva can be individually processed using the software tools.

Regardless of the type of tooth set-up, it is always possible to produce a monolithic Try-In.

Step 3: Manufacturing the Denture Base and Denture Teeth with inLab MCX5

inLab MC X5 milling unit

Provides precise milling results and a long service life of the milling tools

The inLab MC X5 milling unit and its inLab CAM Software provide a validated workflow for precise milling results and a long service life of the milling tools. The design data are seamlessly transferred within the inLab system to the inLab CAM Software or alternatively exported as STL format via the optional interface module of the inLab CAD Software.

Step 4: Bonding with Lucitone HIPA

Lucitone HIPA

Exceeds the required ISO standards for improved impact resistance

The milled tooth arch or the prefabricated teeth are bonded to the denture base.

Lucitone HIPA is a high impact pourable acrylic denture base material used to bond denture teeth to denture bases. It is the first pourable acrylic denture base on the market that exceeds both of the required ISO standards for improved impact resistance.

What Lab Technicians are saying

"For me, the digital dentures are absolutely the right step into the future, because they reduce the treatment time of the patient as well as cost and manufacturing effort."
