Thank you to all who contributed cases for consideration in our first annual SureSmile® Clinical Case Contest! Two talented dentists were chosen as the winners, recognized for achieving remarkable clinical outcomes and transforming patient smiles using SureSmile® Clear Aligners. 

 

Our two winners were selected from numerous submissions which were all reviewed by a panel of experts assessing treatment difficulty, clinical results, and record quality. Kudos to Drs. Ballou and Dudzinski who helped their patients experience their most beautiful and confident smiles!

Dr. Eric Ballou

Lake Harbor Dental in Boise, ID

Dr. Eric Ballou practices general dentistry and orthodontics at Lake Harbor Dental in Boise, ID. His patient was a 32 yr. old male who complained about severe crowding. Dr. Ballou diagnosed the case with severe crowding and anterior crossbite. Using the SureSmile® Aligner platform and Interproximal Reduction/IPR, Dr. Ballou, treated the patient with 31 aligner sets over 14 months. 

One aspect of Dr. Ballou’s case was impressive: to have given his patient the smile of his dreams in only 14 months with no refinements. Having set the patient’s expectation for 14 months, Dr. Ballou was pleased he could meet his patient’s expectations and keep his treatment on track. Dr. Logan Dudzinski practices general dentistry and orthodontics at New Image Dentistry in Omaha, NE. His patient was a 36 yr. old female who told him “I am not happy with my teeth, and I don’t like to smile. I want them straighter and don’t want my front one to stick out.” Dr. Dudzinski diagnosed the case with severe crowding, narrow arches and anterior/posterior correction. Techniques used include leveling curve of Spree, Retraction, IPR, Arch expansion and Restorative.  

Dr. Dudzinski and his patient had an amazing smile transformational journey in 18 months using 57 Aligner sets.
